Asphalt shingle rejuvenation
Asphalt Shingle Roof Rejuvenation in Riverview
A plant-oil treatment that draws the suppleness back into dried-out asphalt shingles so they shed water and keep their mineral — commonly another five to seven years from a roof that is still sound.

What the treatment does
An asphalt shingle ages because the Florida sun draws the oils out of its binder. Deprived of them, the shingle stiffens, splits at the edges and releases the mineral granules that screen it from UV. This treatment is a soy-based oil, sprayed on and drawn into the mat, that returns some of those oils — so the shingle yields in the heat rather than cracking and keeps a firmer hold on its granules. It is upkeep for a roof that is still sound, not a cure for one that has already begun to fail.
Which roofs it suits
Rejuvenation works on asphalt shingle roofs that are worn but still whole. A brief inspection confirms it.
A good fit
- Asphalt shingles that have been up around ten to twenty years
- No active leaks and firm decking below
- Shingles still lying flat, dulled and losing mineral but not torn open
- A roof you would sooner nurse along than replace
Not a candidate
- Active leaks or soft, water-damaged decking
- Wide areas of missing, curled or cracked shingles
- Tile, metal or flat roofs, which this treatment is not for

Inspection
We gauge suppleness, mineral loss, age and any damage, and give you an honest verdict on whether treating it is worthwhile.
Shore up first
A few loose shingles, a bare nail or a tired pipe boot are noted and sorted so the oil lands on a solid surface.
Application
On a rain-free day the soy-based oil is laid evenly across the shingles — a matter of hours.
Follow-up
You get a clear write-up and a sense of when the roof will want its next pass.
